I Read the News Today, Oh Boy!

On my walk to the supermarket today, I went by the bakery, and a produce stand.

 Couldn't pass up these artichokes!

I usually buy bread from this bakery, and the ladies who work there are very friendly and fawn all over Peacho with free cookies.  Somebody told me Chile consumes more bread per capita than any other country, and I am inclined to believe it!

The cookies on the top are called alfajores. More on those later.  It's quite necessary that I devote a whole post to them.
